Back again…

I thought I would be posting every day in Hawaii, but it was not to be. Two, pre-school granddaughters, who were the main reason for our visit, occupied most of my time, and were the subject of most of my photography. I have a lot of work to do back in Florida, but I did manage to get a few blog worthy photos while we are in San Diego for a few days. Yesterday we discovered a historic park across the street from our hotel….Continue Reading “Back again…”

Sagamore Hill…

I spent this afternoon with my photographer friend, Pam, on the grounds of Theodore Roosevelt’s home Sagamore Hill. My main reason for visiting was to purchase a Senior Pass. Not that I am officially part of the older generation, I can at least take advantage of senior discounts. The Senior pass is pretty cool – for $10 you get lifetime admittance to National Parks and mourners. TR’s house itself is closed for renovation until sometime in 2015, but it was fun to wander around the…Continue Reading “Sagamore Hill…”

Lone Star State…

We just crossed the border between Louisiana & Texas. The weather has been really mild, but tomorrow a cold front is expected to drop temperatures way down. The forecast is even warning of snow on Monday. Not fun!

Rennselaerville…

This old house was across the street from the B&B we stayed at (the only accommodations in town). I don’t know if the house was occupied or…Continue Reading “Rennselaerville…”

Early voting in North Carolina

Yesterday Eddie drove by a building in downtown New Bern, and he was so amazed that he had to take me back to see it. North Carolina early voting started at limited locations on October 14. One such location is the polling place featured in this photo. The iPhone does not have a very wide lens, but be assured that the photo depicts only a fraction of the signs that surround the polling place.

From the road…

We are taking a road trip, of sorts. Today we drove upstate to see our niece and her family – which includes two beautiful little girls. While on the road I plan to post each day from the iPhone, and I am having fun shooting photos with it while we drive (actually, while Eddie drives and I ride shotgun). Today we drove over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, and I loved the infrastructure. The photo looks like it was double exposed, and I don’t know…Continue Reading “From the road…”
