In upstate New York, about 25 miles southwest of Albany, is the very small village of Rennselaerville. Known for the Rennselaerville Institute (a think-tank with a long history) and the Huych Preserve (more about that in a later post), the village is the epitome of a picturesque village, with many buildings dating back well into the nineteenth century. This old house was across the street from the B&B we stayed at (the only accommodations in town). I don’t know if the house was occupied or not, but it begged to have its picture taken.
