9/11/11…

I created this composite photograph in 2001. I took the photo of the little girl, a neighbors child, as a memorial service in the Northport Village park that September. I thought the photo as today approached, and recently went searching for it in my archives. It invokes the feeling that I think are appropriate for this anniversary. MOMA Concert…

A few weeks ago we spent a Thursday afternoon & evening at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. We were pleased to discover that there are concerts in the Sculpture Garden on Thursday evenings. After the Yankee game yesterday we took the subway down to Chinatown for dinner, then walked up to Penn Station for the train home. I wasn’t carrying my Nikon, but I did have both my iPhone and Panasonic point & shoot. While walking up Broadway at 21st Street we saw a large group of bicyclists coming towards us. Enjoy Halloween…

I’ll finish up my series of iPhone photos with a fun photo of some friends dressed up for the holiday. I’ve enjoyed taking the photos with the iPhone — it is an amazing device, and the iPhone 4 has are surprisingly excellent camera. I’ll definitely post more iPhone photos when we take to the road with our motor home.

What would a visit to Hollywood be without seeing something, however so insignificant, being filmed. On the sidewalk outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater was report from STYLE, whatever that is, was doing some type of a report — real or just for tourists, I don’t know! Characters welcome…

Grauman’s Chinese Theater is a Hollywood landmark and attracts tourist by the thousands. Found scattered among the tourists are a many familiar characters — some looking for notoriety and some looking to make a living posing for tourists. Click on an image to see a larger version.
