Ideally you would use a tripod for a panorama, but I hadn’t carried one with me (I very rarely do), so I positioned myself in a good spot on the shore and slowly rotated to take ten shots, overlapping each on the left edge.
After making exposure adjustments to the first image in Lightroom, I applied the same setting to the other nine images. I then exported all of the images to the Photomerge function in Photoshop to create the panorama. Photomerge does and excellent job on merging the photos, and I could not discern any seams between sections of the panorama. The iPhone has a 5 megapixel camera and takes pretty good photos for a phone—and I guess it is better than some point & shoot cameras. It isn’t going to replace my Panasonic pocket camera, which shoots RAW and takes excellent photos, but it is fun to use, and nice to have as a backup to my backup camera.
