On our way up to Rennselaerville, we stopped at a lookout on the Taconic Parkway. The day was overcast, which made for a good mid-day photo. If it had been a sunny day, a photo taken in the mid-afternoon would have appeared washed out. Me and my camera appreciated the cloudy day, which offered excellent light and a dramatic sky. The view is of the western Catskill Mountains, looking towards Hunter Mountain ski area.
