Our trip upstate two weeks ago was to visit our niece and her family. Her husband is the director of the Huyck Preserve, which, to quote the its website,
…is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to preservation, education and research.
It is a beautiful place, and we had the chance to take a long hike on the property. The fall foliage was just ending its prime, and the light from the overcast sky was just about perfect.
I am really looking forward to returning to the Preserve in the spring — it is such a beautiful setting. And the fact the my two adorable-grandnieces are there makes it all the more beautiful!
