May 15 – Ghost bicycles can be found all over the country. They are shrines put in place to commerce the life of a cyclist killed on the road. This one was on E. Escalante Road in Tucson. The cyclist, Ablbert Eugene Brack, lost his life to a drunk driver in 2011.
Walking by an antique store in Dade City these brightly painted children’s bicycles caught my eye. Not what I would consider antiqes, but visually exciting.

We drove down to Sarasota today to see the National Touring Company present Jersey Boys. A fun show and an excellent performance. We went to a matinee, and the house was filled with nothing but over sixty white folks!
Today we enjoyed a dim sum lunch at CK Choy’s in Tampa. Over my shoulder, standing guard against the wall, was this fellow. Mr. Choy, I presume?
By the end of the month we hope to get on the road with our new, smaller motor home and our bicycles. Our plan is for me to do a lot of the driving, which I couldn’t do with our larger County Coach, and Eddie will ride his bike as much as possible.
