One of a series of photos of birds taken today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I just like this shot of the two birds appearing to share an avocado.
Sandhills Cranes have made their home in central Florida. They mate for life, and are most always found in pairs, or in family groups of three and four. I found these two cranes down the road when I was taking pictures of the longhorn cows on New Years Day. Photo editing was done in Photoshop Touch on the iPad. The last of the shore birds at John’s Pass in Madiera Beach last month. This Great Blue Heron was such a good subject as he or she perched on a roof overlooking the harbor. I was using my 70-300mm lens, which allowed me to take these close-up shots.

This last photo of a nest building bird is of a Taveta Golden Weaver. A multitude of nests hung from the trees, and this little creature was working hard on making this the perfect nest.
