Roadside memorials …

We’ve spent the past month in Arizona with my stepson and his family, and my blog posts have been few and far between. I’ve taken a lot of photos, but most of them have been of our beautiful granddaughters. Yesterday, as we began the journey back to Florida, we drove the back roads through southern Arizona and New Mexico, passing numerous roadside memorials. The memorials are very prevalent in the southwest, and we stopped so that I could take a few photos.

I processed the images on my iPad in Photoshop Touch. For each photo I created a duplicate layer, made the new layer black & white, added contrast, and then lowered the opacity of the black & white layer just enough to add a hint of color.
