Trying to finish sorting though all my photos from our cross country trip last spring. I like this image from Marksville, Louisiana.
Standing watch in the tomato garden behind a Farm Stand in Centerport.
I missed the spring flowers in my garden, but I am loving the summer blooms.
I was working in my garden when this visitor showed up. I hope he comes back with some of his friends.
May 25 – We are pretty much stuck in southwest Texas. The weather her is OK, but east and north of us are storms and flooding. Tomorrow we will attempt to begin to work our way home. Meanwhile I am posting a few photos from the Waimea Valley on the north shore of Oahu.
May 17 – The desert isn’t in the full bloom that I always imagined seeing, but the cacti in bloom are a special kind of beautiful.
May 13 – When we drove from Tucson to Ajo last month we saw buds on some of the Saguaro Cacti. Today, driving back east from Ajo to Tucson, the cacti were in full bloom. These sentinels of the Sonoran Desert are magnificent in all their glory. I read that the Tohono O’Odham Indians, who have lived in the Sonoran Desert for thousands of years, consider Saguaro cacti relatives, and cherish the plants, the flowers and fruit.
May 7 – Visited the beautiful botanical gardens surrounding Waimea Falls on the north shore of Oahu. Truly a vision of paradise. More photos from the walk tomorrow.
April 25 – One more photo of a rose from the San Diego KOA we’ve been staying at. The landscaping at this campground is beautiful and so well maintained. And the roses smell wonderful.
