I don’t know what this tree is, but going under it is like being under a giant umbrella. I have to remember to ask the name of the tree when we come back in two weeks.

I haven’t giving up using my Nikon DSLR, but my iPhone 6 is always in my pocket or purse, and I find myself using it more and more. I want to get back to posting an image a day, all taken with the iPhone.  iPhone image edited in the iPad.

Rest stop tree …

Driving across Texas on Interstate 10, we stopped at a rest stop for a bathroom break. I had my iPhone in my pocket, and on the way back to the car this tree called out to me. A quick snap and we were back on our way, but I just knew it was a good shot. iPhone image edited on the iPad

What is that under the tree?

Driving on the eastern shore of Virginia, on our way to New Bern, North Carolina, we stopped at the rest stop just before crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. I spotted what looked like ping-pong balls on the ground under a tree – and were actually a type of mushroom. iPhone image edited on the iPad
