For the first several years after I retired we would arrive home in April, but in recent years it has not been until mid-May, and I miss the blooming of my tulips. Since I usually miss the early spring flowers, I haven’t planted any bulbs in years, but I still have some tulips and hyacinths that bloom. We were too late again this year, and all that is left is this fading bloom.
