Longhorn…

On this first day if 2013 I took a bike ride down Johnston Road to take photos of the Longhorn cows with my DSLR. Cattle were grazing under a tree, a good distance from the roadside fence. Using my 70–300mm zoom lens I was able to get pretty decent pictures. Because of the differences between 35mm film and the digital sensors on a DSLR, a 300mm lens give the equivalent of using (approximately) a 450mm.

The series of photos is going to be transferred to Lightroom on my computer, but in the meantime I imported them into my iPad and edited using Photoshop Touch.

On the way back home I passed two ponies in a small pasture – tomorrow’s post.
