Creatures of the Okefenokee…

Categories Wildlife0 Comments

On our way to Florida we made a stop in the Okefenokee Swamp in southern Georgia. We stayed at a State Park campground, and to see the “swamp things,” we paid a tourist visit to the Okefenokee Swamp Park, a private, non-profit park. The park is very low-key, and has good-sized population of alligators — found in the waters that wind through the park.

Admission includes a wildlife show, presented by apart-Native American who loves the creatures of the swamp. The show consisted of two indigenous snakes and a baby alligator — who was very cute, but had lethal teeth.
