One more video…

This blog is not about video, but I have one more video to post — to show off my granddaughter Brianna, AND to demonstrate the video editing feature in the new Lightroom 4 Beta. With Lightroom 3, the current version, you can import video, but videos cannot be edited. With version 4, you can actually edit the video to make exposure and color corrections. Happy girls…

Since the purpose of our visit to Arizona is to spend as much time as possible with our family — especially our granddaughters. That being said, my recent photo shots are mostly of the girls. Today was a happy day, and I was constantly snapping pictures with my nikon at the playground and later in the house. These two pictures show the spirit of the day…

Inspiration…

These two photos are a follow-up to yesterday’s Brianna Ballerina. Eddie put the Nutcracker on for her before Christmas, and ever since she has been asking to see it (Netflix can be very useful) over and over again. She dances, and watches, and she tries new moves. Can’t wait to see what happens when she goes back to ballet class on Monday.

Our little one…

A new year, and a new year of daily photos for my blog, and I cannot go any further without posting a photo of a perfect little model, my littlest granddaughter, Julianna. She is so photogenic, as is her big sister, who I will feature tomorrow. Santa brought me a new flash for my nikon, and I loved using it to get some really excellent, shadow-free photos of the girls.

Birthday Girl…

We recently visited our niece and her family for a joint celebration of her daughters’ birthday. The oldest, Chloe, will be three in a few days, and with her curly hair she makes a wonderful subject for a portrait. I especially like the photo with the rocking chair set against the house.
